Bezel-less Display Mi Note 2 Likely to Launch on October 25

Xiaomi has been slowly building up to the Mi Note 2 reveal for the past few weeks now.Multiple leaks have given us a brief idea of what to expect from this new Xiaomi offering, but the one hardware aspect that we’re keenly looking forward to is the display which apparently covers the entirety of the front portion, with practically no bezels on the top or sides. This also means that there’s no room for the front camera or the array of sensors that modern day smartphones usually have. While it’s not been confirmed, this does seem like something that Xiaomi would come up with.

Xiaomi is hosting an event in China at the Peking University Gymnasium on October 25, where it is likely to launch the Mi Note successor. Xiaomi has also announced that Hong Kong-based actor Tony Leung will be the host for the event.

The handset has been rumored to be packing a 5 or 5.5-inch edge-to-edge display, the quad-core Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage, Android Marshmallow with the latest iteration of MIUI and a 3,600mAh battery and can be priced at CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,000) and CNY 2,799 (roughly Rs. 28,000) respectively.. With exactly a week left for the announcement of the handset, we expect more details to come our way shortly.
