Attention Android users: Switching to iOS will soon be a pain-free experience.
Nestled at the bottom of Apple's iOS 9 website is mention of a "Move to iOS" app, which will allow Android users to "wirelessly switch" to iOS.
The app will transfer everything from your contacts, to messages, photos and videos, online bookmarks, calendars, email accounts, wallpaper, e-book and even DRM-free music.
The migration app will even help you find all of the free apps you had on your Android device and download them automatically on your new iOS device; paid app equivalents will be added to your iTunes Wish List.
Apple doesn't specify which wireless protocol the app will use, but it's likely Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
During Apple's 2015 Q1 earnings call, CEO Tim Cook was ecstatic about the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus's continued success, saying a "majority" of switchers were defecting from Android.
Apple offers a trade-in program that lets customers trade in their Android (and BlackBerrys and Windows Phone devices) in exchange for store credit towards an iPhone.
The new Move to iOS app appears to be yet another move towards helping Android switchers find a new home on iPhone.
Apple isn't the first company to offer a smartphone migration app. Motorola has long offered its Migrate app for switching from other Android smartphones, as well as from iPhone.
The app will presumably become available this fall when iOS 9 is released to the public.
